The purpose of each SUPER-G farm network is to provide a baseline picture of farms that are dominated by or include permanent grassland (PG) as well as to investigate current and historical trends in PG management across five biogeographic regions. Each farm network will provide information and data about PG management and how this relates to Ecosystem Services delivery, such as:
- Livestock breed;
- Principal production outputs;
- Grazing management;
- Cutting frequency;
- Fertilizer use;
- Manure management;
- Reseeding practices;
- Weed control and involvement in agri-environmental schemes.
SUPER-G currently has 23 farm networks across 14 countries, distributed through five biogeographic regions for benchmarking and testing.
